Lokesvej 9F, 4., 8230 Åbyhøj, DenmarkTriboTech was founded in 2024 by two engineers with more than 50 years of combined experience — in a specialist discipline that critical infrastructure quietly depends on.
Co-founder & Market Director
Hans S. Møller has spent more than four decades in energy — from mechanical coal sampling in the 1980s and power-plant chemistry into applied tribology and the condition monitoring of offshore wind fleets and 400 kV transformers. His foundation is the Theory of Sampling: a result is never better than the sample behind it — the principle underneath everything TriboTech does with oil and grease. He takes full ownership of every project he runs, and clients rely on that and on the long-term relationships he builds and keeps. He stays in it because the work is specialist, often overlooked, and matters to the infrastructure it protects.
Co-founder & CEO
Jesper Vinther came to tribology from research science. He holds an M.Sc. in process engineering and a Ph.D. in nanotechnology from Aarhus University, where his work centred on surface engineering and electrochemistry — the surface science that underpins lubrication and wear — with research stints at Caltech and DTU, peer-reviewed publications, and a granted patent. He is a Certified Lubrication Specialist (CLS) for tribology and oil analysis, and he chairs Danish Standard committee S-510 (IEC fluids for electrotechnical applications) — the role he took over from Hans. Trained in the Theory of Sampling under Kim H. Esbensen, he co-developed TriboTech's grease-analysis method for early bearing-failure detection and turns analytical data into recommendations clients can act on.

Our work rests on named professional qualifications and on procedures based on the principles of the standards named below.
Our lead consultant holds the CLS certification from STLE.
Issued by the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers in 2023. The credential is personal and can be verified on Credly.
Verify on CredlyOur lead consultant chairs the Danish Standards committee S-510.
Our lead consultant is a member of CIGRE.
Our procedures and our diagnostic tools are based on the principles of the standards named below. Naming a standard states our working basis; it is not a claim of certification, accreditation or approval by any third party.
Interpretation of dissolved and free gases — the basis of our ratio analysis.
Source of the Duval Triangle 1 fault-zone boundaries. Our Pentagon 1 and 2 zone geometry follows the CIGRE ICTRAM06-2023 corrected coordinates.
DGA interpretation. We apply its Triangle 4/5 sequencing rule, its multiple-fault rule and its ±15 %/±30 % analytical-accuracy figures.
Supervision and maintenance of mineral insulating oils — the basis of our oil-condition assessment.
Sampling of free gases, and analysis of free and dissolved gases — the basis of our gas-extraction procedures.
Sampling of insulating liquids — the basis of our field sampling procedure.
TriboTech is a consulting engineering company and does not operate its own testing laboratory. Analysis is placed with a laboratory that works to documented laboratory procedures.
